Dance 2 (Ages 3-4)

Using imagery and fun songs, students are introduced to dance movement without being bogged down with the actual vocabulary. Moving like a cow, a frog, a train, and the wind are all common suggestions and the students are eager to follow the leader/teacher as they dance.

Conversation between teacher and student is encouraged and many student ideas are used throughout the class period. Use of props also expands the imagination.

Class uniform for girls:
Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.  A ballet skirt is permitted, no tutus.  Hair pulled into ponytail or bun.

Class uniform for boys:
White tee shirt, black leggings or sweatpants, black ballet slippers.
